After we publish, sometimes there are events worth noting as follow-ups to the original pieces.
In regard to our Article on High IQ Criminals…Another…
William Defoor, the man who vandalized Vice President Vance’s home…was a candidate as a US Presidential Scholar:
A U.S. Presidential Scholar is a high school senior who receives one of the nation’s highest honors for academic achievement, artistic excellence, or career and technical education. The Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 to recognize and honor some of America’s most distinguished graduating high school students. Each year, up to 161 students are named Presidential Scholars.
This was a few years ago, he somewhere clattered off the tracks, there is a history of mental illness here. But again, we find a clearly gifted individual going down the wrong road in life. In a big way.
In regard to my many comments on Governor Walz
As you know, never a fan and given his withdrawal from the Minnesota Governor’s race, it is entirely possible he will now move from being a former Vice-Presidential candidate to a mere footnote in history, a trivia question. We’ll watch a kind of slow disappearing act, I think. It is entirely possible this puts the final curtain to any thoughts Kamala Harris might have been harboring about 2028. A selection judgment like that just isn’t going to endear you to the voters of this country.
Meanwhile, Amy Klobuchar indicates she may run for Governor. I don’t agree with many of her positions, but I think she’s a serious person and worthy of respect.
More, the entire Somali scandal and the governor’s response is giving new hope to the Republicans they can turn the State red. I guess in life, you need to be careful who you decide to associate with…you never know where it can go.
In regard to my thoughts about Mamdani.
It’s going to be worse than people assume. Somehow, I think a fair number of voters didn’t take his positions seriously enough. “Oh, he doesn’t really mean that…” Oh yes, he did and yes, he does. And you can fill in your own blanks as to what “that” means. I’ll continue to write about him because we’re going to get a front row, first class seat as to what Socialism can do which then can morph to Communism if successful.
In regard to my article about high horsepower cars taking to the streets.
Florida has just passed a Superspeeder Law. It’s defined as going more than 50mph over the limit…say, 75 in a 25. I’ve copied a link from the Daytona Beach News-Journal. Some of these yo-yo’s are real pieces of work. But they help make my case for me.
So, I was at the dentist’s and saw this in the parking lot. This is, I believe, a Corvette Z06 which produces 670 horsepower.
Yes indeedy, that is a handicap sticker hanging from the mirror. I’m thinking if you drive a Z06 and you are handicapped, just what is your handicap? Terrible Judgementitis perhaps? And if you’re not, then, well, you’re one of those people. Pushing aside people who really need that parking space because you’re just a jerk. In either case, this is not a win for humanity. I guess it’s why God invented the Superspeeder Law…kind of scoops up these thimble brains and clothes them in orange jumpsuits.
In regard to my piece, the Unraveling of Robert De Niro
He’s been fairly quiet recently, but he did take the time to enlighten us on January 3 in a C-Span clip:
“I love this city. I don’t want to destroy it. Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city, but the country and eventually he could destroy the world.”
Aw, c’mon man, don’t be a wimp. How about:
“Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city, but the country and eventually he could destroy the world. Plus, the planets and the Sun and then, the Milky Way. Plus, other stuff like the universe or something.”
You may be wondering…nothing from Mark Ruffalo or Kim Kardashian lately, but there are 359 days left in 2026, so I’m sure we’ll get something. Hope springs eternal over here.
