Getting strong reviews, if you’re a DaVinci Code fan (I am) then you’ll be all in. I got pulled into the book almost immediately. Most people don’t know he’s out with a new work.
I couldn’t tell you how many Lego sets we’ve bought for our grandchildren. I’d guess dozens. They come in all prices, complexities and age-appropriate configurations. And one reason we keep buying them is that our grandchildren love them. An almost infinite array of possibilities, an easy choice when those birthdays come around.
Annie was a world-class poker player who won over $4M in poker tournaments around the world. Moreover, she has a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Penn, and her specialty is teaching people how to make better decisions. I read Quit because as a trader, knowing when to let a trade go is crucial to success. But this is not an investment book. Rather, knowing when life has dealt you a hand not worth the effort. Worth the read.
We have travelled the world with these luggage tags. We love them. They don’t break off and the distinctive design makes luggage easy to spot. You customize them for your personal information, and they are engraved for you. We have them on all of our luggage pieces, probably a dozen or so. Solves the luggage tag issue with style and elegant design.
Men often forget to update their leather belts. But they do need to be replaced from time to time. I’ve found these belts to be an absolute bargain. Once you’ve gone to your department store and they want up to $100 for a belt, the value here is unmistakable. Colors, choices of size…under $13. I own them in colors and in both houses.
If you need a pair of shoes for racing or simply to put on when you drive your speed demon, these Goodyear shoes fit the bill. They’re actually a faux leather and mine fit perfectly. Tight but not overly so. A narrow footprint if space around the pedals is restrictive. $50, they could charge twice that.
Wires everywhere. To eliminate, buy this charging station. $28, it comes in black or white. We have one on each side of the bed. Just drop the watch and the phone and the AirPods on the charger and they’re ready to go in the morning. Couldn’t be simpler or more convenient. We also bring them in the suitcase.
So I have a watch affliction. I probably own 50 of them. All kinds and prices. But of all the watches I have, the Casio F108WH watch is my daily wear. It keeps time, it has a stopwatch and an alarm. It lights up. Its lightweight and hardly noticeable at the keyboard. Figure $20 give or take, I confess that I own a half dozen of them. They’re everywhere.
We have these at both our homes and they get regular use. Super easy to manipulate, really a ‘must have’ item. Teromas makes a fine product at a fair price.
We have an older Jura machine at our mountain house and it has run flawlessly for ten years. This is the ENA 4, not cheap but still at the lower end of the price scale for Jura. I think the price is justified by the quality of the various coffee drinks it makes, the sturdy construction and the ease of operation. FYI, we have a Miele built-in machine in Florida, which is a multiple of this price, but the Jura we have in North Carolina gives it a run.
At $199, one of the mid-priced Garmin watches but it has all I need. Unless you play to a single digit, it should be all you need as well. I like the simplicity of the watch, I don’t notice it on my wrist, and it has a large display. Over 40,000 courses pre-loaded.
